Project Brief

The customer has web developers in how and therefore had resource to complete the page optimisation and any work that was needed from a technical perspective, we had worked together before on a few projects, so they knew we could deliver with our link profiling services. They wanted to target a number of different keywords (anchor text) and we discussed the possibilities in a meeting before deciding the strategy.

The Strategy

The market place that Piggy Bank wanted to join was a very competitive one, the financial sector, more specifically the loan market. This was a challenge as the market was so fiercely competed that the site was up against huge brands with big budgets, Piggy Bank was no small company, but the site was new and therefore needed a good strategy. We decided to go after more specific keywords, yes Piggy Bank was a loans company but it was more specifically a guarantor loan company. So we selected keywords in that area.

The Application

Once the strategy was decided we used a mixture of high quality blog posts with the addition of some carefully selected directories, just to add value. We kept the anchor text concise and did not add much variation so we could devote a lot of the time targeting a small but effective set of keywords.

The Result

After just a few weeks the results started to show, with the site ranking in the top ten for all the keywords we were targeting, we built on that progress and eventually gained a number one ranking in Google for Piggy Bank, ‘Short Term Lender’.  So by looking at your strategy and ensuring you are realistic you can get some great results with link profiling, ensure that they are always high quality, if you want to discuss the or any of our services please get in contact.
